we learn/discuss Torah, celebrate Shabbat, other festivals and holy days
and have fun.
We are an independent Conservative and egalitarian educational and religious community/synagogue in Elgin. Bar and Bat Mitzvah preparation, adult Torah study and holiday observances take place at Shirat Shalom. Our Shabbat services are participatory, meaning you can sing along with Hazzan Sarah Alexander, if you want to. We have a minyan every Saturday because each person counts.
